1999 Billecart Salmon “Cuvee Nicolas Francois Billecart”
NV Billecart Salmon Rosé
NV Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve
Who doesn’t love free Champagne? Seriously? Not only are we breaking out the bubbles this weekend…we’re breaking out some stuff from the 1999 vintage and Billecart Rose (Best.Stuff.Ever). Consider this a Wilmington Store Celebration!
Every sommelier has a hip-pocket wine, the wine they go to when they need something they can rely upon for value and excellence and Billecart Salmon Rosé is one of those wines. Trust me, just like the sommelier says.
Each Champagne house also has its own Grande Marque (something like Moet et Chandon’s Dom Perignon) but Billecarts’ Cuvee Nicolas Francois Billecart represents the most elegant expression for any producer. That said, it is also the longest-lived. 1999 should last in your cellar for another ten to fifteen years, guaranteed. If you can keep your hands off it.
Oh, and the entry level Brut Reserve? One of the most consistently delicious of Champagnes – it is medium bodied and more elegant than bombastic, exactly as Champagne should be…
So let’s celebrate Champagne Saturday in style (that’s a thing, isn’t it?). We hope you can make it!
