You’re all invited to the grand opening of Code Ninjas on SATURDAY, MAY 26TH from 10:00am to 2:00pm, for an introduction to the Triangle’s first Code Ninjas location.
The event will take place at 3033 Village Market Place in Park West Village. Guests will be treated to a tour of the center and kids will get to try the program for free. The new franchise teaches children ages 7-14 how to code by building video games, robotics, and participating in other fun STEM activities.
“We are excited to see this finally being offered to our kids as an after-school activity. Having two kids of our own, we know this is a valuable skill set for them to have once they graduate.” said Owners, Alice and Chris Beatson. “The job market is getting more competitive and technology based. Kids graduating this program will have an edge no matter which career path they take.”
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic projects computer occupations alone will increase by 12.5 percent between 2014 and 2024 and produce half a million new jobs, more than any other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) occupations, according to a 2017 report.
The center will offer one-hour drop-in learning, twice per week for enrolled students. Hours are 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays. Summer and Track out camps will run Monday through Friday with half and full day options.
Owners Alice and Chris Beatson, both of Cary said, “It’s our job as parents to see beyond what our kids can. It is our hope to build a community of children that HAVE FUN preparing for their future.”
